Ethical investment advice for vegans

Invest for Good.Advice that shares your values.

Capital at risk. The value of investments can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you invest. Advice is personal to you and given in writing before you commit.

Values in practice

Screening rules, not slogans.

A fund can only reach your portfolio by passing every rule below, in order. Nothing is waved through on a manager's say-so, and the rules it passed are written into your advice.

  1. 01

    Every fund we can access

  6. Can be recommended

What a fund has to show

  • Revenue threshold applied

A stricter limit on excluded activities than the common industry norm

  • Positive screens documented

Renewable energy, sustainable food, clean technology, healthcare, education

  • Independent fund research

Fund selection is reviewed against the rules, not by the manager alone

  • Rules written into your advice

The screening criteria appear in your suitability report, dated

Screening reduces exposure to the activities listed; it cannot remove every indirect link in a global supply chain, and it does not make an investment safer. Your adviser explains what the rules do and do not cover before you invest.

How advice works

Four steps, one written plan.

Regulated advice follows a set order for a reason: assess first, recommend second, then keep looking after it. Here is what that looks like for you, screen by screen.

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Assessment

You tell us about your goals, your time horizon, what you already hold and how much you can afford to lose without changing your plans. Around fifteen minutes, saved as you go.

    • Plain English questions
    • Identity checks handled once
    • Nothing recommended yet
The app asking plain English questions about recent life events and planned expenses
  2. 2

    Step 2

    Risk and values

A structured risk questionnaire sets your attitude to risk and your capacity for loss. Your vegan screening rules are confirmed alongside it, so the values filter is part of the assessment rather than an afterthought.

    • Scored risk profile
    • Capacity for loss recorded
    • Screening rules confirmed
The app showing the advice journey broken into sections with each one ticked off as it is finished
  3. 3

    Step 3

    Recommendation

A chartered financial planner recommends a portfolio that fits your risk band and passes the screening rules, in a written suitability report that sets out the reasoning, the costs and the risks.

    • Written suitability report
    • Costs shown in pounds and percent
    • Risks explained before you commit
The app home screen showing an issued plan with its risk band and the documents ready to read
  4. 4

    Step 4

    Ongoing care

Your plan is reviewed at least annually. You can message your adviser, update your circumstances and see every document in the app, and the screening rules are re-applied as funds change.

    • Annual suitability review
    • Secure adviser messaging
    • Documents kept for you

The research

Your money has more impact than you think.

21× more effective at reducing your carbon footprint than going vegan, giving up flying and switching to renewable energy combined.

Moving a pension or ISA into screened funds changes what your capital finances. It does not change the investment risk you take, which is why advice comes first.
